I have lived in Barnstaple (home town) for most of my life. Studied Performing Arts at North Devon College and received experience in dance, music, recording, music tech, theatre tech, make-up, choreographing, acting, organising events, researching, and sometimes making a fool of myself ;0) (On the skills section, when I say medium skilled I mean that I've had only a little experience)
I am now living in Worthing near Brighton so I am close to London so I am more available to do extra work etc. I hope to do a course in special effects make up for film and also stage combat. I am currently building an amateur portfolio on anything I have done to do with make up etc. I have recently worked as an extra on a Bollywood movie called London Dreams and I have just finished a basic modeling portfolio.
I enjoy socialising, sports, most of the arts including martial, reading, painting/drawing, designing clothes, computers etc.
I was a volunteer for a local youth house where I helped with carnivals and assisting in projects for young people. I was Darth Vader for a carnival and we won 1st place for best float. Was an experience.
I used to be a member of Bideford Army Cadets and the TA in Barnstaple where I recieved basic training.
I have also assisted with props in The Queens Theatre for a show called Gangshow a year or so ago which was voluntary and I was a model for a charity fashion show for Breast Cancer last year (2006) where all models had a free photo shoot.
I would like to gain experience as a supporting artist as I would love to be involved in the making of a film and I regret to say I don't have the experience to be a proper actress at the moment. I love adventure and Sci-fi and the fact that I'd be helping to make the picture come to life. I'd love to learn bo staff and stage combat to be able to fight in choreographed fight scenes i.e. Star Wars Jedi, a pirate, or a vampire. I would love to work with special effects. My goal isn't to be a famous actress but to be able to be involved in as many films as possible as the entertainment industry and belief in films gets people away from the sometimes harsh reality of life. And it's fun!
